[2020 AUGUST UPDATE] Ad Network: Targeting for Email Ads

The Ad Network is growing at a rapid pace. As things develop we will keep adding new features and refining existing options. While updates on the Network happen continuously, some major changes were made that are worth noting.

Targeting Options

Cleaning and tagging data is a tough job, but our developers keep optimizing it at an impressive scale. This means targeting is significantly more powerful than before.

Target customers by the attributes listed below.

  • Location
  • Job Title / Role / Seniority
  • Industry
  • Company Size
  • Domain (In Beta)
  • Technologies & Tools e.g. WordPress, Salesforce, PHP etc

  • Location
  • Gender
  • Interests

Reaching more valuable audiences

The more targeting criteria you add, the more specialized your audience will be. This severely limits your reach. However, you can reach small but highly valuable audiences (like CEOs).

When you limit your reach below a certain threshold, your minimum bid will increase to ensure your ad gets served to these audiences.

Popular Pre-built Audiences

Our most requested audiences are now publicly available in the predefined audiences section. You can combine these with demographics and contextual targeting. Available for both professional and consumer categories.

Predefined Audiences

  • Start Up Employees
  • Recent Seed Funding
  • Recent Angel Funding
  • Photoshop Users
  • Developers
  • Front End Developers
  • Back-End Developers
  • Freelancers
  • Homeowners
  • Renters
  • High Net Worth (over $1 Million)

Ad Network Tips

Frequency Caps

New subscribers get added to the network each month. Set frequency caps (under the budget tab) to keep reaching fresh eyes. We recommend 7-14 times per month.

Brand Awareness

Combine a CPM campaign with targeting on Facebook or LinkedIn Ads. Your customers will see you popping ups everywhere lending authority and trust to your brand.

Event Tracking Pixel

Head to the Conversion Pixels page to create a pixel and install it on your landing pages. This pixel will allow you to see conversions. By tracking conversions, you can more accurately calculate your cost per acquisition (CPA).
